Driven by a commitment to elevate customer lifestyles while making the best in mobility accessible to all, the Commercial Bank of Ceylon has entered into a strategic partnership with David Pieris Automobiles (Pvt) Ltd., to promote the GWM and BAIC range of vehicles marketed by the latter, via a specially structured leasing proposition for customers.

Under this collaboration, Commercial Bank will extend leasing facilities through its island-wide branch network to part-finance the purchase cost of selected GWM and BAIC vehicle models. Customers will benefit from attractive interest rates, concessions on documentation charges, and a free credit card with the first-year annual fee waived. Repayment schedules can be tailored to suit individual income patterns, enabling more affordable and manageable vehicle ownership, the Bank said.

David Pieris Automobiles, the four-wheeler sales arm of the prestigious David Pieris Group of Companies, markets the BAIC range including BAIC X55, BAIC BJ 30 and BAIC BJ40 as well as GWM including Haval H6 HEV, H6 PHEV, H6 GT PHEV, TANK 300 HEV, TANK 500 HEV vehicles in Sri Lanka. The company will complement the financing offer with a range of value-added benefits, including free vehicle registration and two labour-free services. In addition, the partnership is underpinned by comprehensive manufacturer-backed warranties across the promoted models. The GWM hybrid and plug-in hybrid range is supported by engine warranties of up to six years or 200,000 kilometres, depending on the model, alongside battery warranties extending up to eight years or 160,000 kilometres, reinforcing long-term reliability and peace of mind. The BAIC models featured in the promotion carry engine warranties of three years or 100,000 kilometres.

The joint promotion will run until 30 January 2027 and reflects Commercial Bank’s strategy of collaborating with reputed automotive distributors to deliver competitive and customer-centric leasing solutions. As a pioneer in vehicle leasing in Sri Lanka, the Bank continues to focus on offering attractive and affordable rental structures that enable both existing and new customers to take advantage of opportunities to purchase new vehicles under preferential terms.

The partnership is expected to be particularly significant for customers seeking flexibility, as the special rates and concessions offered allow repayments to be adjusted in line with income cycles, enhancing accessibility while preserving financial discipline, the Bank said.
