The market turnover of the Colombo Stock Exchange has reached Rs. 7.8 billion by now and market analysts predict that it would exceed Rs. 08 billion by close today (19 August), thus setting a record for this year.
Nearly Rs. 07 billion of this turnover has been from a crossing agreement by John Keells PLC to sell 29.4 million of its shares at Rs. 240.00 each.
It has been revealed that this agreement has been entered into by a foreign investor.
