The Colombo Stock Exchange recorded losses for the second consecutive trading day today (30), even as the market maintained a strong overall performance for January.

The All Share Price Index (ASPI) declined by 88.58 points to close at 23,812.31, while the S&P SL20 Index fell by 14.51 points to 6,641.15.

Despite the day’s downturn, the ASPI shows the stock market has gained 5.25% during January 2026, reflecting sustained investor interest during the month.

Market turnover stood at Rs. 9.19 billion for the day.
