The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) marked a landmark moment this morning (29) when its All Share Price Index (ASPI) broke through the 21,000-point barrier for the first time ever.

At around 11.00 a.m., the index stood at 21,003.97, an increase of 203.71 points from the previous trading day.

Trading was brisk, with turnover already exceeding Rs. 2.5 billion by the time the record was set.
