First-ever drone light show in Sri Lanka reveals new logo
“Daraz Drone Show”, the first-ever drone light show in Sri Lanka, illuminated the Colombo night sky with over 150 drones on 22nd and 23rd January 2022 at Galle Face Green, in celebration of Daraz’s global rebranding.
Followed by an evening of music, food, and entertainment, the event saw the presence of over 10,000 people from across the island to witness the spectacular choreography that revealed the new Daraz logo to the public.
The drone show was launched by Minister of Youth and Sports Hon. Namal Rajapaksa and attended by State Minister of Aviation and Export Zones Development Hon. D.V. Chanaka, Mr. & Mrs. Abeywickrama – Director General of Civil Aviation, Mr. & Mrs. Fernando – Director of Aircraft Operations Civil aviation authority, and the media. Daraz hosted the event in partnership with Dubai-based double Guinness World Record holder, SKD International.
