Dulux Pentalite, the cutting edge decorative paint from global industry leader AkzoNobel Paints was recently re-launched with an enhanced brand delivery at a spectacular event attended by over 900 industry partners.
The re-launch is the result of further innovation of the product by parent company AkzoNobel, who have studied the specific Sri Lankan context and consumer needs in order to provide a superior formula tailor made for the local market.
With its resources and global industry insights, AkzoNobel Paints has brought to bear its advanced resources to develop and produce the enhanced Dulux Pentalite. The new product’s success surpasses the high performance of its own predecessor and the brand continues to lead the market. The main development factor is based on AkzoNobel Paints’ Pro-Cover Technology, which assures the best coverage and opacity as well as dilution range and whiteness. The product also boasts a higher thinning ability of 40% in contrast to the market norm of just 20%.
Speaking on the re-launch, Rajitha Perera, Marketing Manager, Akzo Nobel Paints Lanka (Pvt) Ltd explained, “Dulux Pentalite has garnered the confidence of customers throughout the years. It is a best in class product that has proven itself to be both technologically advanced as well as environmentally efficient. The new formula gives Pentalite an edge in that it is designed specifically for the Sri Lankan environment and takes into account standard practices such as dilution during painting. The New Pentalite delivers high coverage while maintaining opacity, making it an ideal solution for the local consumers needs.”
Elaborating on the appearance and structure of the re-launched Pentalite, he said, “The first thing you will notice about the new Pentalite formula is its enhanced curd-like structure. This is almost semi solid and is known as a thixotropy structure, it is so dense in fact that if you open the tin and turn it upside down, the paint will not spill out. We have always believed in offering the best value to our customers, coupled with the highest durability available in the market.”
The Pentalite launch coincides with the Dulux ‘Colors of the World’ concept launch in Sri Lanka – which brings together a range of six pre-prepared palettes based on inspiration from nine travel destinations. Sights from around the world provide, not only the perfect source of inspiration for design concepts, but also allow customers to base their interiors on their favorite travels and experiences.
Designed based on the landscapes and emotional connotations of the cultures of Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Spain, Thailand, France, the Maldives, Hong Kong and Africa, each palette is designed to infuse a space with the essence of the chosen destination.
Mr. Jeremy Rowe, Managing Director for Decorative Paints in South East & South Asia, Middle East at AkzoNobel speaking on the launch of the ‘Colors of the World’ concept, explained the emotional significance of the launch and why it would resonate with consumers. “Any traveler would like to take the truest parts of their travels home with them. The essence of a destination, the colors and the people, are what embeds itself in an individual’s mind. It is this sense of memory and nostalgia that we aim to create through ‘Colors of the World’. These palettes are crafted by Dulux Color Experts and allows customers to imagine, choose and visualise their space redone in line with their favorite memories.”
