Ex-Pack join hands with co-energi to embark on a journey towards sustainability with Carbon Neutral and LEED Certification

On a quest to minimize and mitigate the impact of its operations on the environment, Expack Corrugated Cartons Ltd, the premier corrugated carton manufacturer in Sri Lanka catering to both local and export markets and a subsidiary of Aberdeen Holdings Pvt Ltd joined hands with co-energi.

As an independent specialist provider of sustainable and resource efficient designs, co-energi will assist Expack in this journey towards sustainability with a highly sensible, innovative, and legally compliant approach.

Being in the manufacturing sector and utilizing heavy machinery, it is always a challenge to control the immediate and wider environmental impact. However, the unwavering commitment towards sustainability and continuous improvement programs, has enabled Expack to implement numerous energy conservation programs to meaningfully offset its impact on the environment.

Chairman Mr. Sattar Kassim said that Expack is committed towards preserving the environment and has very recently embarked on obtaining LEED and Carbon Neutral Certification for their factory in Sapugaskanda, pledging allegiance in being a responsible corporate as a partner and a key contributor in the fight against climate change and biodiversity. The company has taken the pledge to become Carbon Neutral by 2022.
