Financial Donations from Several Private Companies to the ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ Fund

Daily contributions are being made to the Government’s ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ Fund, established to provide relief to those affected by cyclone Ditwah.

Yesterday (09), several companies handed over financial donations to the Secretary to the President, Dr Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, at the Presidential Secretariat.

Accordingly,

  1. Rs. 100 million from Mr Thissa Ilapperuma Chairman of Naturub Group Of Companies
  2. Rs. 20 Million from Mr M. Selvaraj Chairman of Sriyani Dress Point
  3. Rs. 20 Million from Mr Shashimal Dissanayake, Managing Director of Yaden Laboratories (Pvt) Ltd
  4. Rs. 25 Million from Mr Anurath Aberathna, Chairman of Anunine Holdings
  5. Rs. 15 million from Mr Milfer Makeen, Chairman of Macksons Paints Lanka (Pvt.) Ltd
  6. Rs. 5 million from Mr D. A. Nissanka, Managing Director of Sirilak Sea Food (Pvt.) Ltd
  7. Rs. 2.5 million from Mr N. Jegatheeswaran, Chairman of Narmatha Gold Center (Pvt.) Ltd
  8. Rs. 2.5 million from Dr Sivalingam Ramesh, Chairman of IWW Steel Industries

The respective chairpersons and managing directors handed over the donation cheques to the Secretary to the President.

A number of directors and senior representatives from the donating companies were also present at the occasion.
