Global Harvest Introduces “Snow Farms” Canadian Berries to Sri Lanka

March, 30, 2026

Global Harvest (Pvt) Ltd, a Sri Lankan company, has been appointed as the sole importer and distributor for Tropical Link of Canada to distribute their popular “Snow Farms” brand of Canadian dried cherries, including cranberries, blueberries, and tart cherries, in the Sri Lankan market. Snow Farms berries are sourced from the crisp, pristine northern soils of Canada, which sets them apart from those sourced from other regions. Snow Farms berries were recently launched in the retail network of Gusta, a Sri Lankan food platform offering high-quality local and international food products through its online store and retail stores in Nugegoda, Ahangama, Mirissa, and Wennappuwa. The berries will soon be available in popular supermarkets across Sri Lanka as well.

Berries are considered highly nutritious, with many health benefits, and are a highly sought-after ingredient in the HORECA (Hotels, Restaurants, and Cafés/Catering) segment. Snow Farms berries are directly imported in 120g retail packs for the retail segment through supermarkets and food stores, and in bulk packs, which are ideal for food solutions in the HORECA segment.

“We are delighted to have been appointed as the sole and exclusive distributor of Snow Farms branded berries of Canada. Our relationship with Tropical Link of Canada bodes well for Sri Lankan berry lovers — both in the retail space and across the HORECA segment. The timing of this tie-up is ideal, given our love and preference for all things natural and fresh, as well as Sri Lanka’s increasing popularity amongst travellers from various parts of the world who seek gastronomical delights in their journeys across Sri Lanka,” said Thilanka De Zoysa, Managing Director, Global Harvest (Pvt) Ltd. Established in 2024, Global Harvest (Pvt) Ltd is an exporter of organic coconut and spice products and an importer and distributor of natural products such as Snow Farms berries to Sri Lanka.

Berries are used for a wide range of purposes, including in food & drink for fresh eating as snacks, in desserts such as cakes, tarts, ice cream, and yogurt toppings, juices & smoothies, jams & preserves, and salads. Berries, which are rich in antioxidants, vitamins such as vitamin C and K, and fibre, are linked to good heart health and improved immunity.
