Sri Lanka’s government will spend Rs. 160 billion to 200 billion to bring developmental revolution in the country, within the current and next year, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe had said addressing a meeting held recently at the Kelebokka state plantation playground to mark the distribution of 500 plots of land in extent of seven perches blocks among plantation workers.
According to him the said funds will be allocated through three major accelerated development projects, namely, Enterprise Sri Lanka, the Gamperaliya and Swashakthi and through decentralized budgeting with the aim to develop villages. Furthermore he told that “Society the government wants to create and the results can be seen now when the economy develops, employment increases, income increases, houses increase and the education improves.”
