As the 147th Battle of the Blues approaches, Grand Park Arena proudly joins as the Official Cricket Academy and Sports Complex Partner, accentuating its growing role in shaping Sri Lanka’s next generation of cricketers.

In just five years, the arena has established itself as a premier day-and-night training venue, equipped with international standard indoor floodlights , outdoor center matting wickets, modern player facilities, including bowling machines. Guided by its philosophy, “Train Like a Pro,” the GPA  attracts mercantile and school teams, govt. inst. and other academies for training. The GPA also has a dedicated cricket academy which provides structured training and personalized coaching, with several prominent school-level players, including emerging leaders, beginning their journeys at the GPA Cricket Academy.

Chairperson Mrs. Chandima Ranasinghe stated: “The academy was founded on a clear vision: to provide young cricketers access to international-standard facilities within a focused and inspiring environment. Seeing our players step onto iconic platforms like the Battle of the Blues reaffirms our commitment to structured development and excellence.”

Now in its sixth year, Grand Park Arena is preparing to expand into pickleball- one of the world’s fastest-growing sports- marking the next phase in its evolution.
