Inaugural flight from Kazakhstan to Sri Lanka for winter season lands at BIA

The inaugural flight from Kazakhstan to Sri Lanka for the winter season landed at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), yesterday (25).

The aircraft, operated by Air Astana Airlines, landed at the BIA from Almaty, Kazakhstan, at 04.10 p.m.

The aircraft carried 182 passengers and 8 crew members.

Accordingly, Kazakhstan Air Astana flights are scheduled to operate weekly, on Monday and Thursday from Almaty to Colombo, until March 31, 2026.

The group of Kazakhstan tourists who arrived was welcomed at the BIA by officials from the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau.
