As the only homegrown local brand, INSEE Sanstha Cement dominated industry awards in 2025, securing top honours for quality, sustainability, and innovation, and reinforcing its status as Sri Lanka’s leading and best‑performing cement brand.

At the SLIM Kantar People’s Awards, INSEE Sanstha was once again named ‘People’s Housing and Construction Brand of the Year’, an unprecedented 14th consecutive win. The recognition proves unmatched consistency for the brand. It positions INSEE Sanstha as the undisputed leader in Sri Lanka’s construction sector and the brand’s enduring trust among builders, contractors, engineers, masons, and homeowners throughout Sri Lanka. 

Adding to the historic achievement, INSEE Sanstha was recognised as the ‘Sustainable Cement Brand of the Year’ by the Ceylon Institute of Builders (CIOB), affirming leadership in the brand’s ability to balance technical excellence with environmentally responsible construction solutions. The brand also received the coveted ‘People’s Pinnacle – Best Cement Brand of the Year 2025’, further cementing its reputation as the industry’s benchmark for performance and innovation.

With more than 55 years of heritage, INSEE Sanstha has consistently set industry standards. It was the first to launch world-renowned blended cement in Sri Lanka, continuously introducing new technologies and innovations to the local construction industry. In 2021, in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI), INSEE Sanstha launched Portland Composite Cement (PCC) for the first time in the country, offering enhanced strength and sustainability for diverse construction applications. This innovation marked a major milestone in Sri Lanka’s journey toward greener construction practices.

The company has also led the way in sustainability with multiple industry firsts including becoming the first cement company in Sri Lanka to achieve the 'EcoLabel' certification from the National Cleaner Production Centre (NCPC), the first cement manufacturer to secure Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) for its entire product portfolio, and the recipient of the prestigious 5‑Star Green Label certification from the Green Building Council of Sri Lanka in 2024.
