August, 12, 2025

The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE), in collaboration with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Sri Lanka (SEC) and the stock broking industry, successfully hosted the ‘Invest Sri Lanka’ Investor Forum in Singapore this morning (12). The event aimed to deepen engagement with global investors and promote Sri Lanka’s capital market as an attractive frontier investment destination, following the momentum from the foreign investor forum held in Colombo in March this year.

The forum brought together high-level government officials, regulators, listed companies, stockbroker firms, and international investors to strengthen connections and encourage long-term capital flows into Sri Lanka. Key speakers included Hon. Prof. Anil J. Fernando, Minister of Labour and Deputy Minister of Economic Development; Dr. P. Nandalal Weerasinghe, Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka; H.E. Senarath Dissanayake, High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Singapore; Ruchir Desai, Fund Manager at Asia Frontier Capital Ltd; and Dr. Naveen Gunawardane, Managing Director of LYNEAR Wealth Management. They shared insights on the country’s ongoing economic reforms, financial stability, and capital market prospects.

Eleven major listed companies participated in the forum, underscoring the strength of Sri Lanka’s corporate sector and its broader investment appeal.
