Mr. Markand Nene, Executive Director (Marketing), Indian Oil Corporation Limited, India has retired from the company effective 31 December 2014.

Accordingly, Mr. Nene also relinquished his post as Chairman of Lanka IOC PLC effective 31 December 2014. He did not hold any shares in Lanka IOC PLC during his tenure.

Mr. Makrand Nene has served as Director of Marketing at Indian Oil Corporation Limited from October 5, 2011. He served as the Executive Director of Supplies for Marketing at Indian Oil Corp. Ltd. and has been the Chairman of Lanka IOC PLC since October 01, 2011. He serves as a Director of Petronet VK Ltd and Indian Oil Corp. Ltd.
Mr. Nene is a supply chain expert, who spearheaded the logistics of Indian Oil during the transition to deregulation period.

He served as Whole Time Director at Indian Oil Corporation Limited until January 01, 2015. Mr. Nene has 33 years of experience in the Petroleum Industry covering all areas. His training in Advanced Management Programme from Management Development Institute, Guragaon and Faculty Development Programme through Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, enhanced his expertise to achieve the goals.
