Sri Lanka’s premier blue chip John Keells Holdings has reported Profit Before Tax (PBT) at Rs.2.91 billion in the first quarter of the financial year 2018/19, which is a decrease of 29% over the Rs.4.09 billion recorded in the previous financial year.
The profit attributable to equity holders at Rs.2.19 billion is a decrease of 23% over the Rs.2.83 billion in the corresponding period of the previous financial year. The group’s Profit After Tax has decreased by 26% compared to year earlier from Rs. 3 billion to Rs. 2.2 billion for the first quarter of 2018/19.
The Group revenue at Rs. 30.16 billion for the period under review is an increase of 12% over the Rs.26.82 billion recorded in the previous financial year.
