* Tech startup simplifies job search for all professions in fast growing markets
Everjobs (everjobs.lk), the new job portal for fast growing markets, has launched today in Sri Lanka. The company’s mission is to simplify the job search and hiring process by connecting job seekers with employers in a matter of clicks. The Everjobs site offers helpful tools and intuitive features, such as a CV creation tool, easy site navigation, search filter and career tips.
Sri Lanka has an economy on the rise, making it an obvious choice for Everjobs to start its international expansion here. The country is pushing investments in tech infrastructure and education, and was the first in its region to implement the 4G network in 2012. The number of Internet users has almost doubled from 12% in 2010 to 23% in 2013 and is anticipated to continue growing.
Co-Founder Ronald Schuurs said, “We see a lot of potential in Sri Lanka, with growth rates beating expectations and a promising economic future. Everjobs challenges the status quo in Sri Lanka for job seekers as well as employers. We believe that every individual has a unique set of skills and personality. All it takes is the right match for them to flourish.”
Although Sri Lanka is the most recent launch, Everjobs had already successfully launched its first operations in Myanmar with work.com.mm. This job portal rapidly became the number one in the country, triggering further expansion of the business model into other fast growing markets.
In Sri Lanka, Everjobs is launching its website everjobs.lk with more than 1000 job listings. The company aims to become the leading job portal here and in other countries to follow.
Simplicity and ease of use play a major role in Everjobs’ service offering. Features like the direct messages and standardized CV formats are convenient and user-friendly. Everjobs provides the right match for job seekers and employers: postings on the website range from small local companies to big international corporations and from student jobs to top level positions. To meet the needs of their Asian and African users, Everjobs created a lean, fast and well structured website.
Backed by Rocket Internet, Everjobs can expect to benefit from the network of companies in the Asia Pacific Internet Group (APACIG) and the Africa Internet Group (AIG). The groups manage a portfolio of 17 companies across 41 countries.
Schuurs states, “Everjobs will set the standard for job platforms in fast growing economies. With a simple design and a great user experience, we want to simplify the process of finding and offering jobs. Our mission is to enable millions of people to find the right job opportunities in each phase of their professional life.”
