Kelani Cables PLC, Sri Lanka’s number one brand in secure electrical and communication cables held its annual scholarly converse forum ‘Kelani Cables Knowledge Forum 2016’ recently at the Water’s Edge. This year’s theme was ‘Your Life and Your Business’.

The keynote address was made by veteran management consultant, writer and public speaker, Mr. Deepal Suriyaarachchi.

The forum held for the fifth consecutive year brought together veterans, CEO's and company owners in the local engineering and construction fields.

Latest trends in the world in the business arena and forecasted future challenges were shared with them at the forum. Kelani Cables is the only electrical cables and accessories manufacturer organizing a forum in this nature to communicate latest trends and future challenges to the engineering and construction fields.

This time’s forum had a participation of over 250 personnel comprising engineers, project managers, CEOs, Managing Directors and General Managers of companies in the respective sectors. The topic taken for discussion with examples at the ‘Kelani Knowledge Forum 2016’ was ‘Privacy and Businesses’.

Thus it is our responsibility to share the latest global knowledge pertaining to engineering and construction with professionals of the local sphere. This forum thus has become an annual event”, said the Director/CEO.

He added, “In earlier occasions we invited a veteran in the electrical engineering field to address the forum. This time around we have deviated from that to invite a veteran management consultant. The object was to provide the forum with the knowledge of Privacy and Business Development which is of utmost importance to the current business sector”.
