Laugfs Holdings will go public with two of its companies in the future, a top official said. 

Veteran business leader and Executive Chairman of Laugfs Holdings, W.K.H. Wegapitiya noted that LAUGFS Leisure and LAUGFS Eco Sri will be listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange in the coming months.

“Today, the little homegrown enterprise we started in 1995 is present in almost 20 unique and significant sectors in Sri Lanka and overseas. When we listed our first entity in 2010, we mentioned that there will be so many other companies that are suitable to be listed in the Colombo Stock Exchange."

“We have become a multinational energy company and our Laugfs brand has become well known in many other countries, So we have many good companies to be listed,” Wegapitiya said while speaking to the Ada Derana Biz exclusively.

"Now we are now in the process of listing LAUGFS Leisure and LAUGFS Eco Sri and awaiting regulatory approval,” Wegapitiya added.

Wegapitiya further noted that they have plans to list some of the overseas projects of Laugfs group in Sri Lanka.

“We have been immensely benefited  after listing our first company on the Colombo Stock Exchange.”

“We believe that listing will support to ensure long-term survival of start-up companies like us, to ensure good management practices and governance and broad-base our ownership,” Wegapitiya added.
