The Ministry of Digital Economy (MoDE) has officially partnered with the Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL) as the National Partner for the National IT Conference (NITC) 2025, marking a significant milestone in advancing Sri Lanka’s digital transformation agenda.

Representing the collaboration were Hon. Eng. Eranga Weeraratne, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Digital Economy; Sumudu Rathnayaka, Advisor, Ministry of Digital Economy; Indika De Zoysa, Vice President of CSSL, and Dr. Amal Illesinghe, Conference Chair of NITC 2025. Their partnership reflects a shared vision to strengthen public-private cooperation in building a resilient and future-ready digital nation.

Held under the forward-looking theme “Society 5.0: Empowering a Smart and Inclusive Nation,” NITC 2025 will serve as a key platform within the government’s “100 Days of Digital” initiative. The conference will explore the convergence of physical and digital spaces through technologies such as AI, IoT, big data, and cloud computing—driving innovation that benefits every citizen.

This partnership aligns with Sri Lanka’s national ambition of achieving a USD 15 billion digital economy by 2030, positioning the nation firmly on the path toward Society 5.0 —where technology and humanity advance together for sustainable national development.
