Newly-appointed Finance Minister Ali Sabry has stepped down from his position a day after his appointment.

Speaking to Ada Derana in this regard, the parliamentarian said he decided to resign to pave the way for the establishment of an interim government.

Ali Sabri, in his capacity as the Minister of Finance, tabled the report of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on Sri Lanka in Parliament this morning (05).
