The trading of Orient Garment PLC (OGL.N0000) shares resumed at the Colombo Stock Exchange following a disclosure by the company.

In its disclosure, Orient Garment PLC states that the issue was caused by a report on a notice before the Western Province High Court for the winding up of Orient Garment PLC published by an English daily today.

Orient Garment PLC also states that it had received a letter of demand from one Jeremy Grebbe for the payment of certain sums which he claims the company owes to him for his services. The company has disputed these claims.

The company has not received any formal notice of such winding up and if it does all necessary steps would be taken to defend the application, says Orient Garment PLC.
