Pakistan is keenly interested in investing in Sri Lanka, specially in the sectors of agriculture, Information Technology and construction, Pakistan High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Retired Major General Syed Shakeel Hussain announced this when he met Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake at the Finance Ministry Thursday (18).
The Pakistan High Commissioner further said he would encourage the top Pakistani investors to come to Sri Lanka as there is a favorable investment environment is prevailing in the island.
Expanding of the existing direct flight service between the two countries was also discussed during the meeting between Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake and Pakistani High Commissioner Retired Major General Shakeel Hussain.
Minister Karunanayake drew the attention of the High Commissioner to obtain the contribution by the Pakistani national career in the flight expansion plan.
