People's Bank held a special event at the Wellawatte branch recently to mark the Thai Pongal festival.

During the event, a series of Hindu religious observances were held to invoke blessings to the country, people, customers as well as the staff of People’s Bank. A number of Hindu cultural features brought colour to the occasion. Deposits were also accepted from customers.

The celebrations were attended by Clive Fonseka - Head of Treasury and Investment Banking, Lionel Galagedara - Deputy General Manager (Channel Management), Ranjith Kodituwakku - Deputy General Manager (Commercial Banking & Digitalization), Muditha Karunarathne - Additional Chief Law Officer, Krishani Narangoda - Deputy General Manager (Enterprise Banking) and Krishantha Gunarathna – Acting Deputy General Manager (Re-engineering and Business Strategy) together with the Executive Management and staff of People’s Bank as well as a large gathering of customers.
