President Maithripala Sirisena offered the position of High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to the United Kingdom to Sri Lanka's cricketing legend Kumar Sangakkara a short while ago.

The President made this offer while speaking at the farewell ceremony held at the end of the second test match for the cricketing legend.
