The unique Vesak concepts portrayed by Rainco and its creative partner Triad (Pvt) Ltd have stood out year after year at the ‘Colombo Vesak Kalapaya.’

In celebration of this year’s Vesak Festival the duo set out to depict a sacred memorandum through a contemporary and modern creative concept. The theme ‘The Eight Vicissitudes of Buddhism,’ (Atalo Dahama) was brought to life through a Pandal projected on water. The Pandal took the form of an Umbrella, of which the eight sides signified the eight Vicissitudes. A water flower positioned at the heart of the Beira Lake formed a liquid monitor on which animated illustrations relevant to the eight vicissitudes were projected.

This Digital Pandal, the first of its kind in Sri Lanka was a design inspired by insightful creativity, crafted and brought to life through cutting edge digital technology.
