Consolidates ownership to support long-term growth, marking major exit for BOV Capital

Roar Global, a mar-tech venture builder that builds, acquires, and scales companies across platform ecosystems and AI, has completed a landmark share buyback of its early institutional investor, BOV Capital, marking a significant milestone in the group’s evolution.

The transaction represents a major exit for BOV Capital and results in further ownership consolidation at Roar Global, strengthening the group’s ability to execute on its long-term vision with greater strategic flexibility and alignment.

Commenting on the transaction, Sattar Kassim, Chairman of Roar Global, said: “This ownership consolidation marks an important step in aligning our capital structure with Roar Global’s long-term ambitions. It strengthens governance, sharpens strategic focus, and positions the Group to allocate capital with greater discipline as we scale our platforms and AI capabilities globally. We sincerely thank BOV Capital for their trust, support, and partnership throughout this journey”

BOV Capital was an early institutional backer of Roar Global and played a meaningful role in supporting the company’s growth journey, providing strategic support as the business evolved from its early stages into a diversified mar-tech venture group.

“BOV Capital is delighted to mark this successful exit through Roar Global’s share buyback, a testament to the strength of our investment thesis: backing solid founders who deliver through thick and thin. Mustafa Kassim exemplifies this. A young yet remarkably mature entrepreneur who has diligently built Roar Global into a mar-tech powerhouse, always with a deep understanding of stakeholders and long-term value creation. It has been a true pleasure partnering with Mustafa and the Roar team from their early days, providing not just capital but strategic support as they scaled. This milestone underscores the vibrancy of Sri Lanka’s startup ecosystem and our commitment to nurturing high-potential ventures that drive regional innovation. We congratulate Roar Global on this achievement and wish them continued success in executing their ambitious 2030 vision.” opined Prajeeth Balasubramanium, Managing Partner of BOV Capital.

The buyback positions Roar Global for the next phase of its growth journey, aligned to its 2030 strategic roadmap, which includes expansion into more markets, AI-led platform growth and selective acquisitions across the mar-tech landscape.

Commenting on the milestone, Mustafa Kassim, Founder and CEO of Roar Global, said: “This buyback marks an important moment for Roar. It reflects how far the business has come since its early days and gives us greater flexibility and control as we plan for the next phase of growth. We’re entering this period focused on building well, investing in the right capabilities, deepening our platform and AI-focused expertise, and scaling selectively where we see long-term value. We’re also grateful to BOV Capital for their early belief in the business and the support they provided during an important phase of our growth.”

The milestone comes on the back of a strong operating year for the group. Roar Global closed 2025 with solid momentum, recording 60% year-on-year revenue growth in the third quarter, driven by disciplined execution across its portfolio of specialised ventures and growing demand for platform-native, performance-led solutions.

Roar Global operates a connected portfolio of mar-tech businesses spanning performance marketing, content and production, creator and UGC ecosystems, AI-driven brand visibility, and global AI capability-building solutions. Its ventures include Roar AdX, 3P Media, Roar Media, CreatorFlow, Apex AI, and BrandRadar; each focused on a distinct growth lever while supported by a shared operating backbone of technology, talent, and strategic playbooks.

Beyond financial performance, Roar Global’s growth has also translated into meaningful job creation, with the group now employing over 150 specialists across digital marketing, platforms, AI, content, and automation; building globally relevant expertise from Sri Lanka and the wider APAC region.

With a strengthened ownership structure, a growing venture portfolio, and sustained demand across the mar-tech ecosystem, Roar Global enters 2026 well positioned to continue building and scaling businesses designed for the next era of digital growth.
