RR Donnelley Outsource (Pvt) Ltd won the FITIS Cricket 6’s 2024 Championship Trophy by defeating Mars Network (Private) Limited in the finals held at Air Force Rifle Green Ground, Colombo on 02^nd November 2024.

ICT Infrastructure Chapter of Federation of Information Technology (Guarantee) Limited (FITIS), conducts this tournament annually to provide an opportunity for the employees of ICT companies to interact in a friendly environment.

The tournament was initially held at Thurstan College Sports Ground on 29^th September 2024, with the participation of 75 men’s teams and 8 women’s teams. However, the matches were interrupted due to adverse weather conditions.

In the women’s tournament, Metropolitan Technologies (Pvt) Ltd claimed the championship title by defeating Altria Consulting (Pvt) Ltd in the final match. In the men’s tournament V S Information Systems (Pvt) Ltd ended up as the 2^nd runner up.

Additionally, several individual prizes were also awarded. In the women’s category, the Best Bowler trophy was awarded to Ms. Dulari Dusshanthi (Metropolitan Technologies (Pvt) Ltd), and Ms. S.D.K. Devindi (Sala Enterprises (Pvt) Ltd) was judged as the best batter. In the men’s tournament, the Best Bowler award was won by Mr. Mohammed Aashiq (RR Donnelley Outsource (Pvt) Ltd), with the Best Batsman being awarded to Mr. M.K. Avishan Umayanga (Mars Network (Pvt) Ltd).

The tournament became more exciting with the selection of IT Industry King & Queen and IT Industry Dancing King & Queen.

An exhibition cricket match was played by Legends in the ICT industry (over 50 years) with the two teams being led by Mr. Ivor Maharoof (Metropolitan Technologies) and Mr. Roshan Rassool (Softlogic Information Technologies).

Mr. Indika De Zoysa, Chairman of FITIS commented that this is the 15^th edition of FITIS Cricket 6’s, which brings together professionals of all levels of the ICT Industry, providing them a great opportunity for social networking. He further stated that this gathering will support the ICT companies to work together in developing the industry.
