Sanasa General Insurance, Sri Lanka's leading insurance company, emerged as the Winner in the Insurance Sector at the National Business Excellence Awards 2024, organised by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka. The award ceremony was recently held in Shangri-La Hotel Colombo. Commenting on the achievement, the company's Chairman Mr. Tishan Subasinghe said: "Winning this prestigious award is a valuable recognition of our collective efforts as a team at Sanasa General Insurance. Mr. Indika Kiriwandeniya, Managing Director of Sanasa General Insurance, emphasised the company's achievement within the insurance industry through innovative customer service concepts. He attributed their success to fostering a pleasant working environment where every employee can perform their duties happily and creatively. He also highlighted the Company's proactive work culture, aimed at consistently motivating their workforce and providing them with inspiring opportunities. Wasantha Perera, Chief Operating Officer of Sanasa General Insurance, highlighted the company's commitment to fostering a welcoming environment for both staff and customers. He emphasised that their flexibility and customer-centric approach have significantly bolstered the Company's growth. Reflecting on their numerous local and international accolades, Perera noted how these achievements have provided them with the confidence and momentum to advance swiftly within the insurance industry. Sanasa General Insurance, Sri Lanka's top insurance provider, achieved a record 53% growth last year (2023), becoming the country's fastest-growing insurance company. Notably, they saw substantial growth across various sectors: 90% in fire and engineering insurance, 315% in medical insurance, 42% in non-motor insurance, and 56% in motor insurance compared to 2022.
