The Colombo Stock Exchange showed signs of recovery today (04), a day after recording the largest single-day decline in its history.

The All Share Price Index (ASPI) gained 134.03 points to close at 22,577.41 at the end of trading, while the S&P SL20 Index advanced by 44.01 points to settle at 6,357.66.

Today’s turnover stood at Rs. 4.68 billion. In comparison, yesterday’s turnover amounted to Rs. 9.56 billion, making today’s figure less than half of the previous day’s total.
