The Spices & Allied Products Producers’ and Traders’ Association (SAPPTA)- is an Approved Association of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce - in collaboration with the Spice Council of Sri Lanka (TSC) and the Department of Export Agriculture (DEA), proudly hosted the 52nd Annual Session and Meetings of the International Pepper Community (IPC) along with the International Spice Exhibition (ISE).
Showcasing Sri Lanka’s central role in the spice industry, the event brought together distinguished members of the IPC , representatives from the Department of Export Agriculture, Heads of Departments, esteemed speakers, and delegates from around the globe. It provided a platform for collaboration, innovation, and strengthening Sri Lanka’s reputation as a leader in the global spice trade.
Speaking at the conclusion of the event, the organisers extended their gratitude to the IPC Secretariat and the Government of Sri Lanka for their trust in selecting Sri Lanka as the host country. This recognition further highlighted Sri Lanka’s rich history and expertise in spice production.
The welcome dinner, co-hosted by SAPPTA and the Spice Council, provided an invaluable opportunity for fostering global connections, exchanging ideas, and unlocking new opportunities for Sri Lanka’s spice sector.
