The most scenic Forest Rock Garden Resort in Anuradhapura has won the highest award in the world for conforming to international standards and quality among the tourism hotels sector, which is the highest international award ever won by Sri Lanka’s tourism sector.

In this competition organized by the Spain based ‘Business Initiative Directions’ (BID), Sri Lanka’s Forest Rock Garden Resort has won the ISL or International Star for Leadership In Quality international Gold Category Award.

While this award has been won by Forest Rock Garden Resort as a result of inquiries through various sectors by BID, a host of prominent tourist hotels and hospitality sector service providers from 116 countries competing for this coveted award is a significant feature.

This grand award ceremony was held on 28 June at the Concorde La Fayette Convention Center in Paris, France. BID Chairman Jose Prito and Chief Editor of Impress, Dayre L Fickling presented the award to Forest Rock Garden Resort Managing Director Baladurage Chandrasiri.

Wedage Don Wasantha Kumara, Management Consultant to Forest Rock Garden Resort was also present at this event. A special event to welcome the Directors of Forest Rock Garden Resort was organized on 03 July at the Katunayake International Airport.
