Sri Lanka’s only capital market’s Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) All Share Price Index (ASPI) crashed to below 6,000 points today (18). ASPI closed at 5,971.21 points, for a second time in in 3 years since 8th January 2015, whilst ASPI last time crashed below 6,000 points on 22nd March 2017, almost 18 month’s ago.
Sri Lanka’s CSE’s ASPI first reached historic 6,000 points on 9th September 2010, just about a year after 18th May 2009, when the country’s then government announced that country’s military forces had defeated the terrorism that haunted the country for over 30 years since 1980’s
