The final day of the Inco Exhibition 2024, organized by the Institution of Incorporated Engineers Sri Lanka (IIESL), saw a prominent visit from State Minister of Technology, Kanaka Herath. Minister Herath toured the exhibition floor, engaging with exhibitors and showcasing the government's commitment to fostering local innovation and technological advancements.
The Inco Exhibition, held from January 12th to 14th, serves as a vital platform for showcasing cutting-edge technologies and products across various engineering sectors. This year's event attracted a diverse range of exhibitors, from construction equipment manufacturers and IT firms to textile companies and power generation providers.
Minister Herath commended IIESL for its initiative in promoting local industry and fostering collaboration between engineers, entrepreneurs, and government bodies. Fueling Sri Lanka's technological leap, His Excellency the President Ranil Wickramasinghe allocated 3 billion to the digital economy and 8 billion to research in his recent budget speech, signaling a strong commitment to fostering a vibrant tech ecosystem.
The Inco Exhibition 2024 concluded with a resounding success, providing a valuable platform for showcasing Sri Lanka's technological potential and fostering collaboration between diverse stakeholders.
