The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) recorded mixed performance today (26), with the two main indices moving in opposite directions.

The All Share Price Index (ASPI) declined marginally by 3.42 points (-0.01%), while the S&P SL20 Index gained 13.62 points (+0.20%) during the day’s trading.

In early trading, the ASPI crossed the 24,000-point level on several occasions. However, it eased gradually in the second half of the session, settling lower by the close.

At the end of trading, the ASPI closed at 23,953.09 points, while the S&P SL20 Index settled at 6,663.12 points.

Market turnover for the day stood at Rs. 5.49 billion.
