The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce has been certified as a great workplace by research and consulting firm Great Place to Work® in Sri Lanka.
The Ceylon Chamber was awarded this certification based on extensive ratings provided by employees which address key areas of employee satisfaction. These include the supportiveness of the work environment, job satisfaction, opportunities for professional development and career progression, workplace flexibility, incentives, transparency, etc.
Employee feedback obtained through an anonymous survey conducted by Great Place to Work ®, indicated that employees highly value the safe, supportive and flexible work environment of the Ceylon Chamber, ‘which promotes work-life balance of employees’, and ‘provides employees with a flexible work environment, allowing them freedom regarding time and attendance. Their focus is on completing tasks within designated time frames, rather than imposing strict restrictions’, were sentiments that were echoed by many employees’.
Employees also value empowerment and growth opportunities, ‘the company has a culture of empowering its employees…’, and ‘many career opportunities are available for young employees and for their growth’; are among the comments received in this vein.
