Virtusa Hosts Media Roundtable to Strengthen Media Relationships and Presence in Sri Lanka

Virtusa, a global provider of digital strategy, digital engineering, and IT services and solutions, hosted a media roundtable recently with Roch Ferreira, Vice President and Global Head of Corporate Marketing at Virtusa, to discuss the company's brand philosophy, recent achievements, new initiatives, and their significant impact on the local and global tech landscape.

During the event, Roch Ferreira briefed the media on the recent launch of Virtusa Helio, the company’s Gen-AI offering, the launch of the Virtusa consulting practice and continued commitment to ESG and engineering with purpose. Furthermore, he said that Virtusa Sri Lanka celebrated its second consecutive year of receiving the Great Place to Work certification in Sri Lanka alongside seven other global regions, highlighting the company's dedication to creating a positive work environment and providing local talent with opportunities to collaborate with top-tier global clients, both onsite and offshore.

Roch Ferreira also emphasized the integral role Sri Lanka plays as a talent destination for Virtusa and the company’s interest in engaging local media to disseminate the employer brand messaging in the local market.

The roundtable highlighted Virtusa's pivotal role in providing Sri Lankan professionals with a global platform, facilitating a "Campus to CXO" journey that nurtures talent from university to industry leadership positions. Roch Ferreira noted that Virtusa alumni hold significant roles across various sectors, reinforcing the company’s status as a talent hub that fosters innovation and leadership. He referenced Virtusa’s pioneering efforts, such as the LinkedIn Connect event held in Colombo, which underscores the company's commitment to talent development in Sri Lanka.

The event also announced Virtusa's upcoming participation in key industry events and detailed global leadership visits scheduled for the coming months. The marketing leadership in Sri Lanka shared insights into Virtusa’s customer-centric and innovative approach, emphasizing the company’s engagement with engineering faculties and various outreach projects with campuses. These initiatives illustrate Virtusa's dedication to developing local tech talent and contributing to the national digitalization drive.

Furthermore, the roundtable showcased Virtusa's ongoing ESG initiatives, highlighting opportunities for collaboration with global sustainability leaders based out of Colombo, emphasizing the company's commitment to environmental and social governance.
