Sri Lanka’s Hemas Holdings PLC in a disclosure to Colombo Stock Exchange said that their healthcare subsidiary Hemas Hospitals (Pvt) Ltd had disposed the entire 100% stake in their third hospital – Hemas Southern Hospitals (Pvt) Ltd for Ashok Pathirage lead Asiri Hospital Holdings PLC for a consideration of Rs. 450 million.
Hemas Holdings further said that the transaction was concluded on 2nd November 2018 and the group will continue to focus on their two other hospitals Hemas Thalawathugoda and Hemas Wattala both which accounts for a total bed capacity of 184 with a network of 34 island-wide diagnostic laboratories.
In a separate disclosure Asiri Hospital Holdings said that the transaction bring tremendous synergy to group with Asiri’s existing hospitals and laboratories in the Southern region of the country.
