President Ranil Wickremesinghe has appointed Dinesh Weerakkody as Chairman of the Board of Investment, the President’s Media Division (PMD) said.

Other board members are Dr. Dushny Weerakoon, Chandani Wijewardena and Eraj de Silva, the PMD said.

Dinesh Weerakkody is also the Chairman of the Port City Economic Commission of Sri Lanka apart from being an Advisor on Treasury Affairs to President Wickremesinghe.

Dinesh Weerakkody served as the former Chairman of the Hatton National Bank and Commercial Bank of Ceylon and is the Vice Chairman of the Employers’ Federation of Ceylon.
