Deputy Minister of Digital Economy Eranga Weeraratne stated that Google has agreed to provide its student offer, which includes Gemini advanced features and other benefits, to Sri Lankan students free of cost.

The Deputy Minister made these remarks while addressing the "Future of AI Begins Today" conference this morning (29).

The Deputy Minister further stated:

"After months of collaboration between our ministry and Google, I am excited to announce the news that I received just this morning. Google has agreed to provide their student offer with Gemini advanced features and other benefits for Sri Lankan students free of cost. This is a game changer."
