During the television talk show 360 on TV Derana, former Central Bank Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal said that he would not retire and was prepared to serve the people in the future.
Responding to a question whether in future posters would come up in Colombo saying ‘Victory to Ajith’, Nivard Cabraal said he could engage in future politics even without posters.
Ajith Nivard Cabraal was a politician before he became the Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
A notable feature is that even former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was a one-time Governor of the Central Bank of India.
