Bajaj RE60's entry to Sri Lankan market depends on Cabinet approval

The simple, effective and immediate solution for the high rising cost of fuel, the new Bajaj four-wheeler, RE60 is yet to make its presence in Sri Lanka. The eco-friendly budget car is the first four-wheeler developed by Bajaj.

The local agent for the RE60 vehicle requested the Department Motor Traffic to register it under a different category but this has not been done so far. In order to accommodate this request, the Department of Motor Traffic needs to create a new category for this vehicle and change the Motor Traffic Act accordingly, which has to be done with Cabinet approval. The Cabinet paper has already been prepared and sent for approval with the necessary details and specifications of the vehicle.

As soon as this is done, Sri Lankan will get the opportunity to experience the RE60's first hand.
