The Sri Lanka Association of Software and Services Companies (SLASSCOM), the National Chamber for the knowledge and innovation industry in Sri Lanka, announced the appointment of its new Board of Directors and General Council for the year 2025/2026.
This dynamic leadership team brings together seasoned professionals and trailblazers from across the technology and innovation spectrum, demonstrating SLASSCOM’s continued commitment to shaping the future of Sri Lanka’s digital economy.
Leading the organization for the year ahead is Shehani Seneviratne, Chief Operating Officer at 99x, who has been appointed as the Chairperson of SLASSCOM. Supporting Shehani in leading SLASSCOM for the year 2025/2026 is an accomplished Board comprising some of the most respected professionals in Sri Lanka’s tech industry.
Sampath Jayasundara, Director/CEO of hSenid Business Solutions, and Haridhu Abeygoonaratne, Managing Director of SimCentric Technologies, take on the roles of Vice Chair 1, and Vice Chair 2, respectively. The board also includes Bimal Gunapala, Consultant at Talliance, as Director of Operations, and Sanjini Munaweera, Regional Head — South Asia ADA Customer Engagement Solutions, as Director of Finance.
Adding further strength to the leadership are: Thilanka Jayathilake, VP Human Resources at IFS R&D International, Arjuna Sirinanda, CEO of Fortude, M. W. Sadhikeen, Country Head at Innodata, Denver de Zylva, Co-Country Head at Virtusa, Omar Hassen, Country Lead at HCL Tech, Sharon Kern, Director of People and Culture at Madmobile and Tharindra Jayamaha, Director of Quality at 99x
This well-rounded board represents the critical areas of people, process, and technology needed to steer Sri Lanka’s IT/BPM industry to its next phase of global competitiveness and sustainable growth.
SLASSCOM also announced its General Council for the year 2025/2026, consisting of over 25 distinguished professionals. These General Council members will actively contribute their domain expertise by supporting and guiding SLASSCOM’s strategic focus areas through its well-established forums that include, Business Process Management (BPM) Forum, Global Trade and Investment Forum, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Forum, Regional Forum, Capacity Forum, WTECH Forum, ESG Forum, Quality Forum and the Cybersecurity Centre of Excellence. Each forum plays a critical role in driving targeted initiatives that promote sector growth, talent development, innovation, sustainable business practices, and enhanced global competitiveness. The General Council, will play a pivotal role in steering high-impact projects, fostering public-private partnerships, shaping policy dialogues, and empowering SLASSCOM to deliver greater value to its member companies and the broader tech ecosystem in Sri Lanka.
The General Council includes, Arjuna Amarasinghe (Covalent Systems), Nishantha Hettiarachchi (SyscoLABS), Inoka Dias (Virtusa), Dulanga Perera (Fortude), Dhaminda Siriwardena (Zone24x7), Neranjan Dissanayake (Just In Time Technologies), Vajramali Fonseka (Nagarro), Prasanna Karunaratne (LSEG), Amira Ghaffoor and Surani Amarasinghe (Northwood Consulting), Roshanara Tissaaratchy (SyscoLABS), along with Chathuranga Senaratne (hSenid), Yohan Gunathilaka (99x), Sithara Vanniarachchi (Dialog Axiata), Abdul Gaffoor (Orel IT) and Yasoma Jayasinghe (Wiley).
Others comprise of Nivedha Balasunderam and Asanka Wasalathilaka (Deloitte), Kavan Amunugama (N-Able), Rajive Silva (Azend Technologies), Sanjaya Prasad (Innodata), Dammika Ganegama (Mitra Innovations), Chrishan de Mel (99x), as well as Nilanka Weeraman (Dialog Axiata), and Lalmal Madhuranga (LSEG).
