The Sri Lanka International Schools Association (SLISA) marked a significant milestone with the successful hosting of its inaugural School Leaders’ Summit on 6th July 2025 at the Lyceum Campus Auditorium, Nugegoda. Themed “Empowering School Leaders for a Transformative Future”, the summit brought together 75 school leaders from across the island, representing diverse regions and ethnicities, united by a shared vision for the future of education in Sri Lanka.

This landmark event was the first organized by SLISA since its establishment in January 2025, under the visionary leadership of its Chairman & Founder,  Nikitha Grero, and President, Chandana Basnayake. The summit created a dynamic platform for collaboration, thought leadership, and professional growth.

Three impactful keynote speeches delivered by esteemed educationists addressed the critical challenges and opportunities school leaders face in today's rapidly evolving landscape. The sessions offered practical insights, inspirational perspectives, and forward-thinking strategies essential for transforming schools and empowering students for the future.

The diversity and unity of the participants reflected the inclusive ethos of SLISA, with leaders engaging in meaningful dialogue and networking across school systems. The event was not just a gathering, but also a movement—igniting a renewed sense of purpose in shaping the educational journey of Sri Lankan youth.

As SLISA continues to grow, this Summit stands as a testament to its commitment to excellence, innovation, and unity in the international education sector of Sri Lanka.
