Ten leading Sri Lankan ICT companies will be showcasing their products & solutions at Japan IT Week (Spring) 2025, one of the Asia’s most prominent technology exhibitions. The event is scheduled to take place from 23rd to 25th April 2025, at Tokyo Big Sight, Japan. The companies will participate under the Sri Lanka Pavilion, facilitated by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), marking a significant milestone in the ongoing collaboration between the Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) and JICA.
This opportunity is part of a broader initiative launched in 2024, aimed at strengthening Sri Lanka’s ICT sector presence in the Japanese market. The program, facilitated by JICA and implemented by the EDB, is designed to support approximately 30 ICT/BPM companies, including SMEs and startups. It offers tailored business coaching, in-depth market intelligence, and strategic matchmaking with Japanese partners.
Ahead of the main exhibition, the selected 10 ICT companies will take part in B2B meetings and networking sessions on 21st and 22nd April 2025. These sessions are organized in collaboration with the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Japan and JICA consultants and are intended to build direct links between Sri Lankan firms and potential Japanese clients and collaborators. JICA Consultants will provide hands-on technical support to help participants effectively position and present their solutions in line with local market expectations.
For Sri Lankan businesses, Japan IT Week is more than just an industry expo. This platform connects businesses to a forward-thinking environment where consistent quality, trust, and long-term engagement are key. As one of the most influential ICT trade shows globally, the event draws a broad spectrum of industry stakeholders, from tech developers to digital service providers to corporate buyers and venture capitalists.
Participating at this scale not only elevates the international profile of Sri Lankan tech companies but also enables them to engage with key decision-makers actively seeking scalable, high-quality solutions and trustworthy partnerships.
The EDB-JICA partnership stands as a testament to the value of global cooperation in unlocking opportunities for growth. By enabling Sri Lankan companies to gain exposure, knowledge, and business leads in Japan, this joint effort fosters sustainable development while reinforcing bilateral ties in the digital economy.
