Suwasevana Hospitals has partnered with the National Insurance Trust Fund (NITF) to expand healthcare benefits for Sri Lanka’s government employees under the Agrahara Medical Insurance program. This collaboration aims to make advanced medical care more accessible and affordable for public sector workers and their families. Under this partnership, key benefits include the admission fee being waived off for Agrahara patients, free consultations for OPD visits, 10% discounts on laboratory tests and radiology services such as CT, MRI, Mammogram, X-Ray, and USS, and 10% discounts on ECHO and ECG tests. Additionally, a free ambulance service is available within a 10km radius, 20% discounts are offered on room charges, and patients undergoing coronary bypass surgeries (CABG) receive a Rs. 50,000 discount.
The Agrahara Medical Insurance program, launched in 1997 and managed by NITF since 2006, serves over 1.5 million public sector employees and their families. This partnership enables insured employees to access specialized care at Suwasevana Hospitals, one of Kandy’s most trusted private healthcare providers.
