A delegation representing the Montana State Partnership Program has held talks with Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to the United States Mahinda Samarasinghe to explore investment opportunities in the country’s graphite industry.

The group included officials from the program and representatives of Mooney Group LLC, who expressed strong interest in investing in Sri Lanka’s graphite sector and supporting its development through technical expertise and global market access.

Ambassador Samarasinghe said Sri Lanka is committed to facilitating foreign direct investment that promotes value-added production, noting that collaboration in technology, safety and environmental standards would strengthen bilateral economic ties and enhance the country’s role in the global critical minerals supply chain.
