Unilever Sri Lanka honours dealers at Muthupalasa Awards

July, 10, 2015

Unilever Sri Lanka felicitated its most valued dealers at the 11th annual Muthupalasa Awards ceremony held at 8 leading hotels across the country.

Muthupalasa is a retailer loyalty programme designed to help foster a mutually beneficial relationship between Unilever Sri Lanka and its dealer network. Going beyond traditional trade marketing initiatives such as promotions and discounts, Unilever leverages its deep understanding of ground realities faced by retailers to share relevant insights and jointly develop strategies that drive mutual growth through the programme. Unilever will also be rewarding dealers with attractive insurance schemes and foreign holidays on achieving their goals.

Members of Muthupalasa noted that they have seen a marked increase in their sales and profitability as a direct result of their involvement with the programme. They also welcomed the initiative taken by Unilever Sri Lanka to award scholarships to retailers’ children for outstanding results in year 5 scholarship examinations.

“The wide spread network of retailers are a vital link in Unilever Sri Lanka’s value chain which helps us take our products directly to consumers. In line with our commitment to fostering sustainable growth and creating positive social impact, the Muthupalasa programme seeks to appreciate these entrepreneurs for the immense contribution they make not only to Unilever but to consumers across the nation,” said Aruna Mawilmada, Customer Development Director at Unilever Sri Lanka.
