The Group Managing Director of Watawala Plantations Mr. VishGovindasamywas reelected as the President of the Ceylon Chamber led Indo Lanka Chamber of Commerce and Industry ( ILCCI) at its 7th Annual General Meeting held last Friday in Colombo.

In the meantime, Mr. Romesh David, The President – Transportation Group of John Keells Holdings PLC and Mr. Biju Jacob, The Country Head of ICICI Bank are the two Vice Presidents of the Chamber. Desamanya Mano Selvanathan, Group Director of Carson Cumberbatch PLC remains as the Immediate Past President.

The current Committee of ILCCI comprises firms such as,Associated Motorways, represented by Mr. Samantha Rajapaksa, Managing Director of the firm, Bharti Airtel Lanka Private Limited represented by Mr. Suren Goonewardene, CEO / Managing Director, Carson Cumberbatch and Company Limited represented by Deshabandu Mr. Tilak De Zoysa, Chairman of the company, Hirdaramani Group of Companies represented by Mr. VinodHirdaramani, a Director of the firm, and Lanka IOC PLC, which is represented by Mr. Shyam Bohra, Managing Director of the entity, while Piramal Glass Ceylon PLC is represented by Mr. Sanjay Tiwari, President and the Executive Director of the firm.

The Director General of the Department of Commerce and First Secretary, Economic and Commercial of the Indian High Commission are also members of the Committee.

The ILCCI, is registered under the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce. The Association for Sri Lanka India Economic Development of the CCC, which was in existence since 1996, was re launched as the Indo Lanka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ILCCI) on September 13, 2006.
The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce are the Secretaries to the ILCCI.
