Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas has named Tamir Kobrin as the opening general manager of Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort in Sri Lanka.

With over 20 years of hospitality experience in resorts and hotels in the United States, Caribbean, Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia, Kobrin is leading the team at Anantara’s first resort in the country, which is scheduled to open in December.

Kobrin has worked for Ritz Carlton, Mandarin Oriental and Raffles, in addition independent hotel operatos such as Aleenta.

The 120-room Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle Resort will offer guests a resort experience located on Sri Lanka’s southern coast, on a secluded stretch of beach. The resort offers 32 private pool villas, six restaurants and an Anantara Spa, dedicated to Ayurveda wellness.
